Forwarded just FYI, no comment as I am ignorant on all other than the left
wing bias of Public Television.

Subj: About the new Ken Burns Film on RVN
This is an FYI piece - I have known that Ken Burns is a bit 'liberal' in
his thinking so one tends to discount some of what he produces - his Vietnam
film must a bit over the top since Public TV is advertising and pushing it
so much - the following from one of us
Subject: Ken Burns Documentary
I hope all is going well with you! This is Fred Koster, the Director of
Ride the Thunder. Below is an extremely important and urgent update. If
you would please share this email, it would make people aware of what is
coming soon. Also, if possible, we would like to interview you.
The "final battle" in how the Vietnam War will be remembered in history,
will happen this year when Ken Burns releases his 18 hour Vietnam War
documentary (which has been endorsed by John Kerry) and Steven Spielberg HUGE new
movie release on the Pentagon Papers starring Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep.
Now is the time to take action against these films, there are "no"
tomorrows if we don't challenge them now. We are currently in production on a new
incredibly powerful and shocking show that will run against these films and
expose the truth of the war like it has never been done before. We need
your help, if you know of anyone who has any new information on the war, or
any new video or photos, please tell them to contact me as soon as possible

The Burns Film:
No mention of communism, the left always did their best to convince the
American people that we were fighting the Vietnamese not that we were
fighting with the Vietnamese against communism
No mention of the Soviet Union or Chinese involvement
No mention of any type of victory or heroics of the Americans or South
Vietnamese
No mention of the South Vietnamese people (they do not want to recognize
South Vietnam)
No mention of the communist atrocities
No mention of the 250,000 boat people who died in the ocean trying escape
No mention of the millions of refugees
No mention of our ally- the Hmong people
The continued propaganda that we were fighting the Vietnamese not
communism
How incredible and wonderful Vietnam is now under communism. It looks
like an advertisement.
Emphasis on the struggle of the North Vietnamese and how brave they were
The show opens with an USA air bombardment of the North
Then the misleading statement that the war was fought both in the north
and the south
An incredible horrible scene of a Viet Cong soldier describing how our
soldiers were weeping about their killed companions
One of the main music composers of the film is Chinese
A good portion of the preview is about the music yet they have no time to
show the South Vietnamese or the valor of our troops.
There is much more.
