My garden has 27 yrs. of compost in it, but the bottom is on clay. We had a lot of rain this year and the garden was under water many times , leading to a lousy harvest. The garlic rotted in the ground and the peppers were very small. Even the basil plants were small!

Geese by the thousands are flying overhead, the leaves are changing, we had roof top frost two weeks ago, but , for the last week and next week we've had temps in the 80's and high humidity.. We had such a wet summer that I had my first tomato yesterday! It was in a sandwich , smothered with home made mayonnaise and toasted caraway bread! I have already changed the oil in the snow blower.
