Several states have been talking about it. It is a tricky issue. But
related to that is ICE cars use less fuel today. Then there are hybrids.
If we could measure the miles you drive over local roads, state secondary,
expressways we could tax fairly. With an EV many of us fill our cars up at
home, so a tax on public chargers would be ineffective.
But, I agree, states need revenues to finance roads.
