All true.
However, for my system to produce 5.5kw (actually 4.8-5kw due to
degradation) the Sun has to strike the panels at exactly 90 degrees to
panel alignment. That means, optimum production actually only happens at
high noon, 2 days a year.
Spring and fall equanox
Summers to high and winter's to low of an angle.
