This is about a helicopter unit's participation in Lamsong719.  It can be depressing and yet I have to admire the courage and devotion of the Helicopter crews of this era. I believe that we all would have reacted as these men did.

His postwar job was flying the Alaska Pipeline for maintenance, and also ferrying researchers from one of the pipe camps now run by the University of Alaska.  Heather met him that way, and so did we on our trips to Alaska in 2015 and 2019.
