I was flying from Pensacola to Memphis to pick up a part. There was an Army Beaver up ahead. I was flying a UH-2C which had two GE T-58-8T engines that could put out 1,450 HP - EACH. That’s 2,900 HP on a twist grip. The UH-2C had retractible gear so I boosted the power and cruised by the Beaver doing about 50 knots faster than his airspeed.

Pretty good when you can tie together test flying Cambodian H-Model helicopters in Vietnam and an amphibious DC-3 on floats in Maine with the same old Seawolf pilot.
