Also remember that in late 69 or early 70 MACV started calling Green Hornet missions on guard which where to be immediately responded to by aircraft close to the area of need. Could they have altered your call signs by then?

Hi Jim, I new it was some type of bugs name. Had you flown for them as a pilot or had you been part of the crew. I did not fly out of the BMT area a lot, just was assigned there for three or four five day stints flying Dustoff in the general region. Drew support from your guns on a couple of occasions which was naturally appreciated. The birds stationed at BMT east seemed so much nicer than our birds. The extra engine on the Ns must have been nice. Would have been great on hoist missions. Though my bird always took me home, though sometimes with alterations. We had been flying from there on t
hat mission since Oct. 1967, both with slicks and gunships, first with UH-1F/P's and later with the UH-1N's. -----Original Message----- >From: vhfcn-l-request at lists.vhfcn.org >Sent: Jan 26, 2020 11:52 PM >To: eastbayjim at earthlink.net >Subject: Vhfcn-l Digest, Vol 104, Issue 33 > >Send Vhfcn-l mailing list submissions to > vhfcn-l at lists.vhfcn.org > >To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://lists.vhfcn.org/mailman/listinfo/vhfcn-l >or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > vhfcn-l-request at lists.vhfcn.org > >You can reach the person managing the list at > vhfcn-l-owner at lists.vhfcn.org > >When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific >than "Re: Contents of Vhfcn-l digest..." > > >Today's Topics: > > 1.
