When working on a counter narcotics mission in Bolivia I got almost an hour flying a C-47 (I think it was the navy version called an R4D that belonged to DEA.  I remember the A/C telling me to leave the rudder alone as it was easy to over control it.

I remember in 1967 when I was in country, that the Air Force took over the
Caribous and Beavers from the Army, don't know about the Mohawks.  At the
time I thought that the AF must have just been jealous!
