The other day was the one year anniversary of my coronary quad bypass.  Guess I need to say that the Good Lord and the surgeon’s skill has given me another year which I don’t deserve.  Anyway, sitting in the study looking out at the bright sunny day and grateful for what has happened.  Shoot, last weekend managed to drive to the Twin Cities and watch my  Boston Bruins play some fine hockey.

Last summer we purchased an adjoining 11 acre parcel with a nice little pond on it.  It is lined and has a well for filling it when it gets dry here.  Anyway, last night I was heading out to town and looked over to the pond and some ducks have moved in.  It made me smile.  Hopefully, they will make it their home.  I have left rushes along the water’s edge so that could make some nice nesting for them.  Getting back from town, Frances, Seth, and grandson were out rounding up the donkey as he found a weak point in the fencing and decided to go for a walk about.

Spring is teasing it’s arrival.  Soon it will be OK the open up the study and air out the old man stink.  However, better, it will be a return of my doves and finches.  The doves will sooth the soul with their cooing.  The finches will brighten the trees with their vivid colors.  And, the geese will darken the sky with their V-formations.  Aesthetically, the young eagles and hawks will soar in the wind currents looking for little furry creaturs.

The Good Lord has blessed me beyond my deserving.
