I don't know how old your laptop is but mine has and HDMI port so I use that type of cable between the two.
It's been ten years since I filed for a copywrite on four maps on the Vietnam War. My lawyer told me it would probably be at least 18 months before we heard back from the copywrite office. Five months later I got it, this was leading edge technology at the time and the were developing the rules and I got more than we ask for.
And for all that I've been able to do and have had the opportunity to do I must give credit to Mel Cannon and Gary Roush who talked me into doing it.
Jim

I have not been able to do that wirelessly, but at WalMart or Best Buy you can buy a good cable with a USB for your computer end and a TV adapter for the TV end. There are names for those connectors and I don’t know how to find the names. I just took a pic of the fitting on the back of the TV and bought that cable. Mine is about 15 feet long.
