I didn't mean to imply running the motor backward, just the prop, via the
transmission. Please note that this "breaking" is not very effective at
speeds much over 10 or 15 mph! Although an essential technique for
docking! But anyone who has operated a motor boat for more than a half an
hour, has already figured this out!
